Lights out!

It was lights out in the city of San Clemente and all of South OC and San Diego for that matter.
It was not an ideal day for this to happen to me...I was not having a steller day to begin with and of course we were in the mists the hottest week of the summer.
I was laying on my couch thoroughly enjoying my new air conditioner...that we just paid an arm and a leg to get fixed and like that it was taken away! Really?
I honestly thought that Murphy's law had been officially instated by Obama at that point. (I wouldn't put it past him.)
So during the day Jack played with dad and grandma outside in the little pool and splash ball.
As it got darker we had to gather all the candles we had so we could see each other.
I found a hodgepodge of Christmas and Holiday candles and it looked like we were about to have a seance.
Just as we got everything from our fridge in a cooler and all the candles were lit- the glorious power came back on.
I was slightly annoyed, but more relieved that my beloved ice cream wouldn't melt.
It was weird to find out that Talega was the only place in San Clemente to get power back on though.
I guess someone was watching out for us and knew we could use a break at this point.
But Jack thought it was fun while it lasted and we made a little adventure out of it.
