This time in my life is the happiest I have ever been.
Amidst disappointments and new challenges I am glad that I have people surrounding me bringing me up. Even people I don't even know.
Heavenly Father knows me so well and I am so thankful for the people he puts in my path.
Literally.
This weekend Matt and I took our usual run (well... I walk and he runs) on the beach trail and I was feeling a little bit sad about moving and about the trials my family has been going through with my cousins accident, and other unfortunate tragedies that have been happening to those around me.
Altogether, it put me in a sad little funk that I couldn't seem to get out of.
While on my walk, an older gentleman that was walking towards me looked at Jack, all cuddly in his stroller, then looked up at me, smiled, and said, "These are the days. The best days of your life. Cherish and embrace every moment...the good and the bad." Smiled again, and walked on.
It changed my whole day.
He reminded me of how lucky I am to be a young mom that has a sweet little family to make new memories with, and that we have the opportunity (not "unfortunate event" as I had previously been thinking) to go on this new adventure together.
Life isn't all rosy, that's for sure.
But with my boys by my side, I think I can handle a little Southern adventure....
For a while at least ;)
