Our New Adventure...

Did you hear about our new adventure?
We are going to be moving to Atlanta, Georgia next year!
It is a great opportunity for Matt's career and the company is paying for us to be relocated there.
We figure we might as well take advantage of the opportunity to experience East Coast living for a change and make some fun memories along the way.
It is going to be quite a change for me though I must admit.
I have grown quite accustomed to my "Orange Bubble" as they I call it.
More specifically, when I am able to do all my errands and not have to leave Talega's loving arms during the day I feel very satisfied. haha.
I think Heavenly Father saw just how comfortable I was getting and knew it was time for a change.
Well, it's definitely a BIG change. The South is so different then here.
There are so many trees everywhere and it seems like every house is nestled in the forest.
Luckily, Matt was able to hire some amazing guys and they are going to be bringing their cute families with them, so we will have some built-in friends.
I just went to check Atlanta out and look at some houses.
I was amazed at what I saw!
 The houses are STUNNING!
(Here are some places we saw.)
After some sight seeing and delicious dinners out, I was able to get a grand tour of what Georgia has to offer.
While Matt was at work I went out with an Agent and looked at all the different areas to live and saw some great (....and not so great) houses.
Granted, there are areas that are a little shady, which I got a little freaked out about driving through, (another story) but for the most part it was nice.

I loved the southern look a lot of the houses had.

Can you tell I'm really only mostly concerned about the kitchen?

So after all that looking you would think I would know what area to move to.
Vinnings? East Cobb? Dunwoody? Sandy Springs? Smyrna?
Still have no clue.
It's basically like saying choose anywhere in Orange County to move to.
There are a ton of different areas to choose from.
And I am feeling just a little bit overwhelmed.
So, if you have lived or know anyone who lives in Georgia I would really appreciate ANY input you have.
This will definitely be an adventure.

Hi guys! That is so exciting! Alan & I lived there for a short time when I was pregnant with Brandon. We LOVE Georgia! We lived in Marrietta & I worked at the church book store by the temple. Again, we LOVE Georgia & would have stayed if it weren't for a few circumstances that are too lengthy to get into on your blog. Ha,ha. Good luck with your new adventure!

I came across your blog today and how crazy to see that you are moving to Atlanta. I knew Matt in high school and grew up in the same stake he did. Jeff and and I were good friends. I just wanted to let you know that my family and I live in GA and love it. My parents have been here for almost 12 years and my husband and I have been here for almost 6. It is a great place to live and the church in our area is really strong. If you have any questions I would be happy to help (melissabowbow@yahoo.com) I would love to meet you and see Matt again when you get here.
