November has gone by way to fast.
Matt had been busy getting his work done and wrapping things up for the close of the quarter.
I have been shooting and editing like crazy.
And Jack has been enjoying the ride.
He loves when daddy stays home with him Saturday mornings while I do a photo session.
I usually come home to this.
He is quite a big fan of sprinkled doughnuts.
He also enjoys playing in his "tent," which consists of blankets over the ottoman.
We are getting him a little Cars tent for Christmas which I think he will thoroughly enjoy.
I love that his hair sticks to any staticy surface it can find.
Mine was the same way when I was a baby.
I also love when I look at him and see a little bit of myself or Matt in him.
I still can't believe we brought him into this world. Still amazes me.
We have been also getting into our walks this month.
There is a nice 1 mile or 3 mile loop around our house and, depending on the day, we will take a stroll and end up at a park somewhere along the way.
I honestly can't get enough of this little man.
His personality is getting so fun, and he makes me laugh all. day. long.
He is also quite the chatterbox.
Basically, anything I say, he will repeat....and remember it!
Today he saw a little girl getting disciplined by her mother and looked at me and said, "Uh Oh...Trouble."
I'm pretty sure i've only used the word trouble once around him.
He's a genius. What can I say? ;)
This year I also hosted Thanksgiving Dinner at our house.
It was so fun.
I love cooking and being domestic these days, so I welcomed the experience.
Greg, Lovely Jen and baby Zoey came over, along with Ethan and his Fiance April. (Whom I adore by the way.) I seriously lucked out on all my great sis-in-laws!
I didn't take a lot of pictures because I was so focused on everything else.
But here is a quick snapshot.
I am glad Thanksgiving is over though because it is now onto Christmas.
I love this season so much!
Maybe it's because I used to be a swim teacher and it meant I didn't have to get into freezing cold pools anymore and I was done working for a while, so subliminally I feel freer.
But really it's because I love being around my family and friends.
I also love doing Christmas projects...like the one I was doing here.
I just finished and am excited to put it up about my mantle.
I saw a similar painting at Pottery Barn a few years ago and always wanted it, so this year I decided to just do it myself.
I used the other half of wood that I didn't use from one of my other paintings and some extra paint too...so it was virtually free.
I haven't painted in a while, what with Jack, Photos, cooking and cleaning my house, so it was a nice break during Jack's naps.
I am glad I free-handed it, because it feels looser then it would have if I sketched it out first.
And my art professors always said that made better art.
Hopefully they would approve.
Jack and I are already doing some fun hand print Christmas projects.
He loves getting into the paints, but then will tell me its "Yucky" and wants me to wash it off.
Well, hope you had a fun Thanksgiving!
Only 27 more days until Christmas!
